To change a watch strap at home, you need the right tools. At Tid & Ting you will find strap tools for loosening and reinserting spring pins, loose strap pins in the right dimension and buckles if you want to upgrade the strap finish. All accessories are designed for standard mounts and fit most watches on the market.
Most watch straps are secured with a band pin or spring pin between the watch's lugs. Using a band pin tool, press the pin together to release the band, then insert the new band in the same way.
Here you will find band pins and spring pins, tools to remove and replace them, and buckles if you want to change the buckle on your strap. Measure the width of the lugs in millimeters so that the pins fit.
See the guide on how to change watch straps for a walkthrough of the entire replacement process.
What tool do I need to change a watch strap? For watches with spring pins, you need a band pin tool.
How do I know what pin length I need? Measure the distance between the watch's lugs on the inside in millimeters. The pin should be the same length.
